We believe that a stable, safe, healthy, comfortable, and culturally relevant environment is crucial to a child's growth.  Our mission is to take advantage of the teachable moments that happen every day by fostering the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth and development of our students and inspire a commitment to life-long learning.  A play-based approach provides a child-centered, teacher-guided curriculum, in which children are encouraged to construct their own knowledge. We believe that our program reflects the needs and goals of children and families. We must work together for an integrated, comprehensive approach. A caring, cooperative workplace respects cultural values and supports positive relationships and respectful interaction.

Our goal is to have a healthy, successful, well respected preschool and 100% enrollment.  We employ highly educated staff that receive continuing education yearly and who have the ultimate support of the management team.  We also commit to achieving accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and joining local professional organizations and associations such as the Neighborhood Parents Network, local neighborhood associations, and the Lincoln Park/Lakeview Chamber of Commerce.  For Your Child Preschool provides high quality early childhood education and childcare based on the stringent standards of its founder Stephanie Sellers.
